RHVKL.com released Version 11.0 RC-2
10th anniversary, a progress built on standards.
RHVKL celebrates the 10th anniversary with a new release candidate (RC-2). Thinking about further improvments RHVKL is on a change: old pages become private, more and more. New pages are designed to replace paper and an offline worklfow for a bright, green future.
RHVKL.com released Version 11.0 RC-1
Corporate. Simple. Clear. Fixed-Size. Search-Box.
With this Version, RHVKL becomes more friendly to every user. The design has a fixed width and the contrast ratio has been increased. Unlisted sites of previous layouts has been integrated in the new corporate design. RHVKL uses the keyboard shortcuts of Version 10.0, again. A new brail and aural support will follow as soon as possible. The printer friendly RHVKL pages will be support at the end of 2006.
Enjoy your stay at RHVKL an feel free to leave me an improvement suggestion.
Extensive user support
Tested for all major browsers on different operating systems.
Easy navigation on RHVKL with your mouse pointer (the common way), keyboard (ALT and the underlined shortcut; only in newer Firefox: you need SHIFT and ALT, only IE user: enter return at the end of your typed number), or navigate only with your tabulator.
The portal has been tested for all major browsers and functions properly for about 95% of currently used browsers.
The only problematic browsers are some Gecko or Gecko emulating browsers and of course IE5.x, together making up for about 5% of browser users. For the Gecko based browsers the drop-down menu opens horizontally instead of vertically. For IE5.x the portal breaks down. If you are not planning to use drop-down menus, but only want to use the main links in the navigation bar, then you have around 97% browser compatibility, only leaving IE5.x left over as incompatible with RHVKL (but this is a browser on its deathbed anyway, so I will not care to make fixes for this one).
If you know a fix for the Gecko based browsers to make the drop-down menu open vertically, get in touch with me and let me know, so that I can make an update of the site.
